Warm Welcome from ECON and YSM Group
Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, the delegation was warmly received by Neak Oknha Dr. You Sameth, Chairman of ECON and YSM Group. Delegates hailed from Malaysia, Singapore, the United Kingdom, China, and Hong Kong, representing a range of international companies. Neak Oknha Dr. You Sameth provided a detailed briefing on Cambodia’s recent economic developments, investment policies, and infrastructure advancements, offering the delegation a deeper understanding of the local investment environment.
The delegation next visited the Cambodia Derivatives Exchange, the country’s only exchange focusing on trading gold, silver, and securities. Members listened to expert analyses on the opportunities within this sector. Additionally, the delegation visited Hong Kong First Gold Group, one of Hong Kong’s largest gold exchanges and the sole franchisee in Vietnam and Cambodia. Members were given the opportunity to experience real-time trading operations and even held gold bars and coins worth millions, taking the chance to capture memorable photos.
The World’s Fourth Largest Sweater Manufacturer
The third stop for the delegation was a visit to Goldfame Group, the fourth-largest sweater manufacturer in the world. The group was personally hosted by Dr. Lee Chun Kee, Director of Goldfame Group. The company is a key supplier for internationally renowned brands such as Uniqlo, Zara, Superdry, and H&M, producing over 8 million sweaters annually. Since entering Cambodia in 1996, Golden Well now operates nine factories, boasting its own product testing laboratory and power station, showcasing its advanced management and technical capabilities.
Inspection of the Vong Residence Real Estate Project
The delegation also visited the Vong Residence real estate project, located just 15 minutes from the new airport. This project has been highly acclaimed for its excellent planning and unique design, having won multiple design awards. Delegation members were particularly impressed by its business headquarters, luxury villas, and mixed-use residential units.
Srey Net Meurn, Founder and Chairman of V.I Land Investment Co., Ltd., personally hosted the delegation and shared a traditional Cambodian buffet with members, fostering closer ties and opportunities for future collaboration.
Finally, the delegation attended the Asia Pacific TOP CEO Gathering hosted by the Cambodian Chinese Chamber of Commerce (CCCA). Distinguished entrepreneurs and CEOs from around the world gathered to share their investment experiences and explore business opportunities. During the gathering, members of the APC Cambodia Trip Mission actively expressed their optimism about investing in Cambodia and laid the groundwork for future cooperation through lively interactions.
